Dealing with rudeness.

Hey everyone...Some of you know me...but most of you don't. While I've been dappling in AMVs since '98, I only got into the community and the amv convention contest curcuit quite recently - so I have a loooot to learn, I know.

I'd just like to know how you guys deal with down right rudeness and/or bashing while your video is being shown in public. I have my own ideas, but I'm very curious as to what the "pros"/those with more experience then I do have to say about this.

Shrug it off, anyone who isn't constructive in their criticism is either an idiot or an elitist, and therefore their opinions shouldn't matter to you in the least.

I like everyone, and i like almost all vids, but i love to be an asshole, so i say rude stuff to everyone, i say dont take it personally, just keep doing what you love, for you, not for me.

There are some at the convention circuit (as with any other public showcase for any medium) that do it to get derisive pleasure, from dashing others confidence.

When I was at a college anime club meeting one time, my friend was working out his computer with the projector and played my dragon bebop z video on it. After it was over, the guy next to me said "Stupidest video ever". Obviously he didn't know that I created it and part of me wanted to bash his face in but I decided to laugh it off and play it cool.
