Where are the Comments???

Post by gangstaj8 » Mon Oct 25, 2004 4:19 am

If this doesn't belong here, move it, cause I'm just ranting. But is it just me, or is anyone else sick and tired of new vids that don't have any creator comments that explain the video? If you spend hours, days, or weeks making a video, why can't you spend 10 minutes to write a little bit about it in order to give the audience a clue? Throw us a bone!!! :x

O.K. I'm done now.

Look at it this way: If they haven't taken the time to write anything more significant than 'OMG MY VIDEO IS TEH BEST EVAR!!!!11!ELEVENTYHUNDRED!', then it shows you how much effort they put into the actual video.

Think of it as a bandwidth-saver for the 'Org: bad videos are subtly advertising themselves as such and saving you the trouble of downloading them!

Glad you brought it up. I, for one, never download videos that have less than 3 sentences in their comments. If the creators don't think it's worth talking..er writing about, then it's not worth watching.

Same here...another guideline is that if it contains more leetspeak or netspeak (as in U for you...R for are..ect..ect..and so forth) in four sentences than most people use in an entire conversation..that's another indicator of the video itself.

This is something that's annoyed me ever since I started this hobby. You don't have to write a book on the subject...but a paragraph never hurt anyone...

Not really. I don't read the comments until long after I've watched a video, anyway.

Well i havent given comments on my latest video due to the million other things that are going on in my life. So it is possible that they are very busy and that's the reason why.

Finally comments are usually something thats done in hindsight. Just getting a video done is enough work in itself. Comments are just something that can add to a video.
This has no relevence to the discussion above it

Which is kinda funny, because if you read the video rescription of Shounen Bushido there is little punctuation/capitals.
