Awesome quality

yeah as you know ive been making amvs for quite some time now, and uh even though ive been using the dvds, ive been getting some pretty crappy quality compared to some other vids, and i was wondering...how do they do that? if you guys have videos with awesome quality, then i wouldnt mind you telling me what software you use to achieve this "awesomness" thanx

UGH i know but its very much information to take in at once!!!

ive only read the stuff about general compression and im already confuzed about whats a good way to get good quality

premier doesnt let me edit with vobs, or at least i dont know how to force it to
