I am really into Dragonball Z and I saw some cool AMV's of it and I really want to do it. but I dont even know where to start or what I need to start.
what would be the best hardware/software for me to start out on with the best results? Money is not a problem, I dont want cheap stuff. Just something good to start out on. with good quality.
What hardware/software do I need to start making anime music

hey welcome!
it depends on:
how much cash + current hardware/software + anime = an amv creation studio.
like wat was stated before WMM 2 is the cheepest (if you've already got a comp with win xp) (ps WMM 2.1 is suppost to be a much better (believe it comes with the SP2))
also depends wat you want to do. just make some DBZ vids lots of people use WMM for that
as for if you wana do somthing besides DBZ (or very advance dbz) you should get somthing like
1.6ghz (nowendays you can't buy a comp with under 2ghz yet 1.6 will get the job done nicely (i usta use a 400mhz and that worked pretty well if you knew wat you were doing)
120-160gig harddive (this is needed to hold all your anime clips and also lets you make a huge virtual ram drive in win xp (unless you got like 2 gigs of ram your gona run out of ram so virtual is needed alot)
nice video card (some people sear by ATI some nVidia, watever you chose it will be fine. anything over $50 will be more then nesscary, unless you want to play video games, alot of video editing is powered by the cpu not so much the gpu (unless your software supports opengl or directx))
thats about it dual montiors would be nice. as software goes whatever money can afford will be great. just need to learn how to use it. they've got lots of reviews on software i believe on the org.
anyway thats my little bit hope it helps!

This isn't even necessary really, unless you need a capture card. I've been using <s>an integrated video card</s> onboard video since I started making videos, and it's always worked fine.Maver wrote:nice video card (some people sear by ATI some nVidia, watever you chose it will be fine. anything over $50 will be more then nesscary, unless you want to play video games, alot of video editing is powered by the cpu not so much the gpu (unless your software supports opengl or directx))
