Ok, I came up with this idea for use of the ogm container in combination with anime music videos. Creator commentary.
Im assuming it hasnt been done yet, that most amv makers/watchers download anime(unlicensed),and most know what an ogm file is. This container is a simple enough for this idea, unlike the mkv format wich can hold many more audio tracks for amvs i beleive only 2 is needed.
The first track being the normally included audio(intro, song, outro). The second track would include a lower volume level of the normally included audio and the artists commentary. This would lower the amount of questions like: how did they do that(assuming most of you dont follow that annoying magicians code), quality questions, idea questions. Seeing as before i actually started making amvs(2-3yrs ago) I found myself asking alot of these questions, I think this would improve many aspects of the anime music video community and most likely increase interest in anime music videos.
I like to experiment with things so... Im willing to be the first guinea pig, due to the fact that I have 3 music videos almost ready and im trying something new with each one(new to me neway).
I offer this idea up for discussion.
One thing....
no torches and pitchforks plz

well, not everybody downloading amvs is familiar with ogm. personally, i leave my commentary in the video comments section, but i can see the advantage of adding commentary while the video is playing.
anyways, the idea sounds like it could be worth the extra stream and not-so-common format for those who care- go for it.

Yea, that's probably interesting as an idea.
Which reminds me - are there any multiple-audio AMV's around yet? I'm just wondering whether someone can really make it work; I've seen a game video with 5 audio tracks, and I thought it was kinda neat. It's probably sort of novel to me as an editor to see a video which was, technically, edited 'reversely' - editing audio to match up video instead of the more normal cutting-video-to-sound pattern

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I don't think anyone's used the .ogm/matroska/insert-odd-format-here containers to do multi-audio AMVs yet. The problem is that it'd limit the audience somewhat...
Still, it's a nifty idea, except in a couple cases where I could see the audio commentary being much longer than the video itself (take Silence, for example)
