I need a 'pretty' song (girl singing)

I have all the footage and perparations down, but I need a good song for it. What I want is a song with slow verses and a fast chorus...kind of like Must Be Dreaming.

It has to be sung by a girl, and it would be really nice if the chorus had a lot of techno or drum beats. Artist recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Help me....

If you want something with a heavier or darker theme, try Fiona Apple. Jazz meets pop, with the drummer from early Pearl Jam supplying the beats.

For a good 'soft verse, hard chorus, sweet drums' song, I suggest "Limp" from "When the Pawn..."

The animes in mind are Noir and Escaflowne(VHS

). It would be extremely helpful to have a song dealing with memories or something about a past life.

How about the song "Haunted" by Poe? It has the type of lyrics I think you're looking for, but it might be too soft of a song. I haven't seen Escaflowne, but I do know that the lyrics would be fairly appropriate for Noir, and Kirika in particular.

By heavy, I don't mean RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, I mean something akin to a deeper voice, or the complete opposite of Britney Spears.
