Motivation
Hey there. I was really into making my first AMV's but as soon as I got down howda do everthing I suddenly found myself forcing me to sit down and do an AMV. I love seeing my final product...but it just feels like its more work and devotion now, lol. I started about two years ago and learned everthing from LightningCountX, and now i'm the most computer advanced person in my entire school (not exaggerating). This is really my problem but I just wanted to know if this has ever happened to anyone eles and if so, what'd you do to start again?

That happened to me more than once , I started to edit again last week.
How to get motivation ?
In my case a friend has helped me to start making vids again , but you can try to get motivation checking if you you're not worried to much with other people opinions about what is right or wrong on AMV making , try to make a vid just for fun , doesn't matter if for other members that idea sucks.try to remember how fun you can have if you edit vids the way that you like.
Stay to much worried with other peoples opinions it's the kind of mistake that I've been doing when I was editing some vids ^^
Now I just deleted those projects

i lose my motivation when i code and map but when im with my friends and we map together (for Unreal Tournament or stuff) or i feel like my friends (not just your "boss" or a due date depends on you but people you care about care about your work) then i can usually start again for a while until i get to a "good" part AMV making, like coding, like mapping its all the same, everything in life is just a series of "explosions" when 9/11 happened on most people's happy chart the eplosion was in "minus happy points" but its like when u ride a roller coaster (if that helps explain it, trust me if your confused by this then you have no idea what kind of hell is going on in my mind trying to understand what im saying) when you go up the first hill its boring think of that as being "sad" or "unhappy" then there is a climax and weeeeee your "happy points" go up, ok thats it screw my whole theory of whatever i was talking about, but anyways let me start over
its like reading a book sometimes you have to get a recommendation from your friend (this relates to your friends caring about you "accomplishing your work") and then when u get so far into the book it gets exciting and u dont need ur friend's recommendation (this relates to the "exciting" mapping/coding/editing)
anyways i hope this helped you more than it did me....or if not then at least i hope your not as confused as me (even tho im just kidding and from my view it makes perfect sense but then again i read novels directed towards the audience of adults so i read a bunch about theories on happiness and life and stuff)

To get a good motivation look at Top10%(current) and try to imagine your name on top. Looks cool, ain't it? So, get your lazy ass at work!

i don't give a Damn to the top 10%
Where is your enthusiasm? Where is your will? Where's is your scence for competiton? Don't you want to prove to the world that you can be the best? Uhm...maybe not everyone approaches it that way

I don't care for contests , prizes , fame , etc , etc.
The only think that makes me still editing it's know that some people enjoy my vids , that's all ;p

Same for me. Some weeks ago i also had a lack of motivation, cause i concentrated on the opinion of others too much and whenever i uploaded a new AMV the viewer opinions decided if i liked my own Vid or not. And thats bullshit^^Stay to much worried with other peoples opinions it's the kind of mistake that I've been doing when I was editing some vids ^^

I have to say I agree with Bote. That's just the way I am. Must be the best...period. It's funny cause that's exactly how I looked at the situation for motivation. I saw Europhia...I downloaded the video. And I saw how much people talk about it on the .org and just about every where else if you like AMVs.
Plain and simple...think about having everyone go "Dude...download this video. *link insert* It is frecking awesome, and it has 595 opinions!"
For me, that is motivation my friends. Also if you enter contests at conventions and stuff. Have you heard those applause sometimes?!!! My gawd! It gives me goosebumps just thinking about it.
