movie maker - loud and proud!
Hey!
I'm an amv creater who uses Movie Maker. Just wondering if there is anyone out there who will willingly download a wmv file as if it's the same as any other vid on the site.
It seems to me that movie maker gets dissed so bad, it's almost a disgrace to use it. I get complaints on my opinions saying that I should use a better program, or that i should use special encoding, or that i should be trying harder when i am, indeed, trying my best at using this amature program.
I really like the music videos i have made. But it's depressing when people are telling me to do better when really, it's the extent of my skills when using this program.
I'm really sorry I'm nagging, but I really think that some people need to be more open-minded when they watch amvs. WMV files seem to be a turn off, but it is true that some can really be great. I've seen some awesome vids made from this program.
Any opinions, fellow amatures?

.WMM can actually be decent, the editor just had to know what they are doing. Mainly for people who A) are morala nd dont want to pirate and B) cant afford big name software.
I dont see a whole lot of flaw in it. As long as you are intellegent enough to manipulate the program, the quality issue isnt that bad...

2nded The reason WMM gets a bad rap mostly, is because 99% of the videos made in it suck ass. Trying to find the 1% of gems out of the huge pile of crap is a task that many are up to. Not to say that videos made in other software can't be crap either. But when you get into other software, the ratio of crap to good videos is more like 80-90%.SnhKnives wrote:.WMM can actually be decent, the editor just had to know what they are doing. Good videos can certainly be made in WMM... though the software is very limiting to the creators imagination.

I use WMM. I admit it!! My vids don't suck as bad as some, but they do suck.
I'm not moral, I just have no patience and I don't think my computer could handle the download anyway.SnhKnives wrote:A) are morala nd dont want to pirate and B) cant afford big name software.

I remember when I made an amv with WMM, my very 1st one. it sucked coz I used dled footage
. Anyway, now I have VideoStudio on my comp, not the best but better than WMM. I have to admit WMM is pretty good but the only effects it has is fading plus it freezes a lot. I just make my amv then encode it to wmv to save space and uploading time (WANTS ADSL!!). Uploading that Let The Rain Fall vid took me like 3 hours. And its only 10mb...
My comp is haywire!
