I need some help with my AMV

I've been working on an AMV done to the song "The Little Things" by Good Charlette. I've thinking really hard but I can't seem to think of anything to go with these certain lines in the song. the lines are:

Like the time mom went to the institute

cause she was breaking down (I just can't Take it)

Like the car we had that wouldn't start

we had to walk to get around (Hey can I get a ride)

And That same year on Christmas eve

dad went to the store (I'll see you kids later)

We checked his his things were gone

we didn't see him no more.

If you give me any ideas I will greatly appreciate it. I do ask that if you give me an idea of a clip from a T.V. Series, that you tell me what ep. I should use, so I know what to get. I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum. Thanks a bunch.

It might help to state what anime you are using for this video. If you are using various anime, then what is the theme of the video?

you don't always have to lyric synch. if youre stuck with lyrics, you can try to match music beats, or the overall tone of the music.

Yes i need 2 things from you to help you out here (if you want to lyric sync that is)

1) i need a site where i can get the lyrics or can you give them to me and

2) like schrizo said it might help if i knew what anime(s) you are using

My AMV has two different themes actually, both little creatures and characters and problems characters have. I'm sorry if its confusing.

How about some scenes from FLCL- Haruka trying to start her vespa, then Naota riding on the vespa with her? I think that would work well.

Evangelion could work for the dad part I suppose. I'm not sure how serious this video is supposed to be, but if you don't mind adding a dark part, you could probably use footage from Boogiepop Phantom for the first part:

"Like the time mom went to the institute"
You could use footage of the woman with amnesia, or the butterfly girl.

"Cause she was breaking down (I just can't take it)"
You could probably use the scene where the pianist girl was going to slit her wrist after basically being told she didn't have enough talent to become a professional.

Sorry, but I'm not sure which episodes those were from. The series is only around 12 or 13 episodes long though, and I'd recommend it even if you decide not to use the clips I suggested.
