What you think about ?....? [mixing anime with CG in AMVs]

Post by Katsumi_AMVs » Wed Aug 13, 2003 12:05 pm

Uhhh....hav a question.... :roll:
I'm making now an AMV with Animatrix ,but looks like that I'm not gonna hav scenes enough to finish the vid .....but if I use the scenes from the episode "Final flight of of the Osirs" (that one with 3D computer graphics),maybe I can finish with no probs.....

What you think ? It's gonna be strange if I make an AMV with anime and CG ? :?:

Don't know, I was thinking of making a vid like that myself because I wanna make a video with scenes from Dynasty Warriors 4, Starcraft, and Warcraft 3 but I don't think those alone really have enough good scenes to make a music video.

I have a video called Princes of the UFR that has two scenes from Final Fantasy 7 slapped in with anime stuff and they don't really look out of place.
My latest video:Ranma Chan is Too Sexy
My less then magnificant website: Planet Arcane

Edit your audio to cut the song down to a more manageable length ;)

I didn't think there is a rule against mixing real footage with anime footage so long as the majority is anime. I've seen a few vids that did that, publically - and even before the donut it was 'okay' to have anime footage mixed with a few game scenes. So long as the majority is anime, there isn't a problem. Besides...most of the animatrix vids I've seen use that cg section - no one's had a problem with it yet. ^_^;

For reference on how mixing anime with limited CG is not only OK but very good and widely acclaimed, see here.
"A creator needs only one enthusiast to justify him." - Man Ray
"Restrictions breed creativity." - Mark Rosewater

A Freudian slip is where you say one thing, but mean your mother.
