Looking for a song that would go with Naoki Urasawa's Monste

I just finished the anime and I really enjoyed it! I noticed there are not a bunch of Monster amv's on youtube so I wanted to make one! I am having trouble finding a song though... Most songs I find are either too popish or just don't fit Monster. I feel like an anime as amazing as Monster, really needs an good song. The only idea's I have are:
1) Monster by Skillet. This one is kind of obvious as the song is about a monster and so is the anime. I know the song has been done a million times so maybe this is idea is kind of lame.
2) I really think the song Safe and Sound resonates a lot with Tenma and Nina (their bond/friendship/whatever). I just can't listen to this song and not think of them. I know it's sung by Taylor Swift which obviously I would NEVER use that version. But there are a couple of really good covers that I could use from youtube. Having said that does the fact that is sung by TS ruin it? Or is the song just too popish? Sorry if this is a stupid idea.

I know my idea's are probably dumb but I really want to make a good AMV that does justice to this anime. Does anyone have any song suggestions that might fit Monster? Thank you in advance for taking the time to respond or even read my post, I really appreciate it.
