Yes prepare yourselves!!!!!

Maya 5.0 is coming out in 5 months!!! I've been counting down the days to buy this baby!

For all you folks out there who like 2D animation and Cell animation, Maya 5.0 has added new features to its wonderful program that will blow you away!! Far warning if you’re into animation and I mean from scratch, pure, raw animation, get your hands on Maya 4.5 now and learn it so you can be prepared and comfortable with 5.0! I'm taking a crash course and getting certified this summer on 4.5 at RISD or Emerson, depending on where they put me, I can't wait!

Just thought I let you guys know! I have more info on the way!

Although Id like to use Maya, I use 3D Studio Max. BTW this belongs in off topic.

Excellent. Maya has always been one of the best programs out there for doing amazinglly realistic CG work. I downloaded the free Maya 4 PLE (Personal Learning Edition) to play around with a few months ago. Unfortunatly I have done little with it.

I started out on Cinema 4D XL 6, and have stuck with it (for the most part) ever since. I am currently working on a Robot animation (I hope to finish it in 7 Months) and am sketching designs and building the skeletal structure right now. CG animation roxxors.
