Downloading AMVs...
Before you get all upset about such a weird subject title...
I just want to ask, what download manager, if any, do you use.
I'm sick of GetRight always having to be antsy due to registration issues. Netants is now adware based
So I'm just asking, do any of you use a TRUE FREEWARE download manager?
[though I'm on broadband, I still want to use one for convenience purposes...]

wget and bash.
The ability to script an already intelligent HTTP file-retrival utility (both of which are core components of the Gentoo system) means that I don't need to download any extra download managers
Oh yeah, another: KDE's file transfer object includes a very spiffy "transfer manager", so it'll work not only on the Web, but across the LAN, on FTP over SSH, or whatever.

Download managers only seem to crash sites and DOS other people when they use multiple connection downloading. I don't suggestion using them. IE is a good choice.

I only use accelerators on sites that say its ok to use or big name servers like when I go to Apple's QT Trailer pape since these programs mess with the servers, however I use Internet Download Manager. The've recently gone to 60-trail in their recent update though. If you get the old version this limitation will be removed but it will nag you to update. It's very fast and has a small file size as well so if you can get past the update nag then I highly recommend it.

Hmm, I don't use them because I figured most people were against them (since several creators have a cap on how many people they will let dl at once). That means you're taking up 4 slots (I think). Anyway I just go to my friend's and dl on their cable connection, burn to disk. It's a lot of extra steps
