Defend the Right...

Post by OmniStrata » Sun Mar 16, 2003 12:14 am

Ok, there's LOTS of good things to be said of this place...

Let's hear them here.

I'll start off with some awesome things I see coming...

The new server plans by Phade... [sorry I'm not in yet... GAH!]

new editing techniques that these people are coming up with...

VERY STRONG new faces are starting to pop up... [example Koop...]

Now these multi editor projects are up, MI and MI2 along with the JSR project... [very nice way of gathering talent]

Let's hear others eh? ^_^
"Strength lies in action. Let the weak react to me..." - Kamahl, Pit Fighter from Magic: the Gathering
"That is a mistake many of my enemies make. They think before they act. I act before I think!" - Vortigern from Merlin ('98)
"I AM REBORN!" - Dark Schneider Bastard!! OAV

A locale to talk to friend I've made over the past year or more.

A catalogue of AMVs that I can peruse and download.

A place where I can advertize my own AMVs.

If I were an elietist asshole I can make AMV with fansubs, say it out loud, flame people for telling me not to, and never get banned or modded.
So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab

Real cute CaT. And subtle too. ;D I personally prefer to use real DVD
subs when making AMVs that include subs. Much more professional that
way.

The chance to get involved with multi-editor projects is definitely one of the better things this place has done for me lately.

I still value the video tech fora greatly, too.

Oh, mustn't forget the video announcements. much easier than scanning the DB every couple days for new stuff.

*the posts above mine by Pierre & Cat, attacking Omni because they didn't like something he wrote in another thead, are not one of the good things. Really, guys. Can't you keep it in the other thread where it belongs? Stalking someone you have a grudge against and crapping in other threads they make is pathetic.

Read my post again. I wasn't attacking anyone. I was simply stating my
preference where subs are considered. Please don't confuse that with
flaming.

I like the fact that I've made a few friends here on the org.

Also I'm able to make better videos based on the questions I get to ask in some of the video/software forums. If I hadn't been able to do that, I'd be pretty lost still.

I have no grudg,e I am simply pointing out an irony and inconsistency in hte eonforcing of the rules.

*grudge *the *enforcing
damn what I wouldn't give for an edit button.
