How to ruin your own AMV webserver.

Post by DJ_Izumi » Sun Mar 02, 2003 12:18 am

Step 1: Poorly configure your firewall.
Step 2: Select the wrong gateway.
Step 3: Don't realize that anything is wrong for 48 hours, due to the fact that you access the server from the local internal network, thus making all operation seem fine.
Step 4: Tell anyone who encounters problems downloading, that the server is obviously maxed, because you're using an IIS server.
Step 5: Finally realize you havn't had more then 6mb of outgoing traffic in two days, and that you can't even make direct connections for ICQ, MSN, or the likes.
Step 6: Realize you foly, and your own stupidity.
Step 7: Feel STUPIDER as you attempt to correct the problem.

Other potential titles for this post:
"Hey! My server is back up! Sorry. :)"
or
"Wow, I guess I am blonde!"

yup, I'd say he has all the steps down right.
So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab

It's spelled with a 'Y'. And that's not exactly the best term for it. |:

At least you didn't say anything like "Shemale" or "Futanari" -_-;
