It was exposed in a tv-show of my country...

yes... It was a umm it was a FFVII AC amv with Linkin Park's In The End. It was actually REALLY good.

I was poking around for Disturbed music videos and stumbled across a Armitage III video set to Fear. I've been on board ever since. That must have been about six years ago or so.

lol i think i saw my first amv off a download in limewire

it was a DBZ GT vid with the song moon baby by godsmack
the editor is unknown to me but in the beginning it said

some stupid guy with nothing better to do

Aluminium Studios, Dreams of Red, was the first AMV I ever saw.

It was sent to me by someone a good 6 years ago now, I think. Pretty ironic, because I'd never seen Sailor Moon, I didn't know what AMVs were and I hadn't yet heard the song (Desert Rose, by Sting). However, I was a Sting fan (and a Police fan, for that matter), asked my acquaintance for details on the song and went out and bought the album.

Obviously, I didn't know it was an AMV, although I found it very atmospheric, even though I'd never seen Sailor Moon. After that... I think the next time I saw an AMV was a few months ago - just before, or just after Christmas.

I've been exposed to music videos for non-anime fandoms for a few years - but AMVs specifically I'm pretty new to.

Obviously, I retain a huge soft spot for Dreams of Red to this day... I did try to watch Sailor Moon to find out who Sailor Mars was, but I've only seen a couple. I'm definitely not a Sailor Moon fan, even if I do like Aluminium Studios Sailor Moon-themed AMVs.
