The only reason I didn't like Beo's statement is simply that it's as if he's speaking to the entire org. Not everyone is DROWNED in effects. I mean, I've come a long way in making amv's (or at least i think i have) and I don't use many effects at all, I throw maybe one or 2 in, and usually they are just blurs or things of that nature, nothing really too noticeable. SSJVegita0609 is good with amv's as well, and he doesn't use an overabundance of effects. I just hate how one sided your statement is. Yes, some of the older editors are leaving, but as they say, the only constant is that of uncertainty. You either accept the change, or revolt against it, whatever you do is none of my concern, but pigeon holing everyone because of the number of effect driven videos isn't really fair. That being said, you are entitled to your opinion, as I am mine :D

That being said, I thought 04 was a great year. I really got my boost into amv's, SSJVegita's Judeau video is one of my favorites. VoR did a lot of experimenting and it seems Bote has come out of the wood works with some pretty incredible stuff. Seen a lot of promising editors. Not to say that there wasn't your normal amount of crap, but you'll find that any year. I have to say the last quarter of the year was a quarter of berserk though, a lot of decent berserk vids finally reared there heads. Saw an overabundance of Eva and Rah vids as well, but hey, as long as they're original and entertaining, I won't complain. I think it was a pretty decent amv year.

It's getting annoying, I mean seriously annoying. If you don't wanna be here, leave, Now. Your whining is becoming one of the single most annoying parts about coming here (aside from my posts and opinions in therein posts being deleted).
But...but...that was my place.

Lets see..... my year in review.....goes something like this

videos made this year 6

comments on the year. It's getting harder then ever to keep track of videos much less finding time to edit them yet somehow i managed to get a decent number done.

Vidoe 1 All you need to win an AMV contest- trigun (guess which scene i used)

Made another anti-video which was saddly(or not so saddly depending on how you look at it) more well recieved then most other videos done. While not an exact repeat of the A maighty wind video, the basic concept behind the term anti video remained, to do a video which is in reaction to other videos as a way of showing just how silly things are by exagerating those things like hell. Short editing time. Lots of fun.

Video 2 your world _AMG movie

A video that was in progress from 2003 managed to survive 2 hard drive failures and get done in 2004. Basic concept managed to get worked out despite constant problems. Video is an attempt to do something new and different with the AMG movie. Atempted to reinterpret armagedon song to a personal levil sucess at it up to you guys. Reasonably well recieved.

Video 3 Animix Pt5_blood the last vampire PS2 segment

Well recieved obviously, use of a new source to try to give the charecter of Sya more depth then in blood movie. Worked out well for such a short video. Spent 80$ just to do it.

Video 4 Edit of evangelion opening

Love it or hate it this video was a new type of editing for me. Messing with the audio instead of the video was a fun and interesting challange. Completely learned how to sing eva theme song because of this video. Mixxed reviews origenality and exsperimentation on what some tought nothing new could be done with.

Video 5- DDR Project 4- the Twist----- or all that live action

AWA's DDR became more like the actual music video contest there since there was actual live action in it instead of just animation. Some did not like the use of live action at all. A shame a fun little video to do and a minor tribute to the DDR project creator at the very end which transitions to his track. Which would likly not have been done if creator had not done a twist video before. Overall enjoyable and trying new idea's along with concepts. Princes Bat dance clips to obsquere for there own good. Guess i'm an obsquerist.

Video 6- Devil never cry- Nightmare campus

A real gambler of a video, to take a violent and errotic anime and turn it into an actual video instead of your standard hentai video, while having it be well thought out and a sound concept. Raised a few head's, entered into AWA masters because it was carefully edited and i felt it was worthy of entry unlike previous years.

As for all of the videos i am proud of what ive done.

Over view of editing style

Basicly tried new things exspanded on editing idea's. Did my longest half fade along with multible faded layers and got that to work. still alot more to learn about with just the fade and cut tools. Tried new rythom idea's which will keep on exspanding and grow into what videos i do next year

AMV community overview.

Were getting bigger it's a shame that some people are leaving. THough alot more are comming. Get tempted to just leave this year but decided that i still have more videos to do even if i may do less and less even though i now realize i managed about the same number of videos every year that ive done since 2000.

Got quite a bit thrown off due to lack of high speed but did stick around the forums a bit still. So my views are very limeted in that manor. People are still releasing videos and though i don't find many i like these days there's still at least one or two good videos that keep me from giving up all hope.

2005- It is impossible to 100% see any future thouhg people will keep making videos and that's all the matters. Out pool has gotten bigger but we still need good water in it to swim around in. As allways it's up to everyone to make things good here or make them bad.

On a perosnal note i did 25 seconds of animation this year. The year is just about at an end I hope you like these coments and look back at my year. Happy new year all.
This has no relevence to the discussion above it
