so what can we do about it?

i mean really, lets stop bitching about it "DO" something. but what, thats the tricky question. we can just hope our good luck keeps up and we dont get targeted. yea right =\

lets just think for a moment, what would the comunity do for its self IF the org did come under attack? nothing really, Phade would go down alone cuz no one really CAN help him and the org. oh sure, all us that donated would probbaly be tracked down once the RIAA got ahold of the orgs bank book. but then what? they come to you next, and who do you turn too then? no one. fact is, the comunity here is balancing on a wing and a prayer. one good tip off that someone out their is making money *cough*Phade*cough* and its by by org. simple truth is, this comunity dosent have the power to defend its self from RIAA.

so what now?

This is one thing I though of.

This might be streching it, but since AMVs help advertise anime series do you think the anime companies will come to are aid? :?

Also artisit interpritations are leagal. Like I know someone who goes to chalking festivals and does other artists drawings, but in chalk and changes some stuff here and there, that might be the same in the AMVs case. I mean we are artists interpriting anime and songs. We could use that. Of course that is still streching it. :? again.

And there is always AMVs at offical cons, well at least the ones I went to like the one in Anihime. So if we use it there then why not the net? Once again I go :?

Plus its not like you could download an anime burn it on a cd and listen to it on a cd player. But still I say :?

I bet one day will be sued for singing the song on the streets as a way of giving out free music

I guess if all else fails I hate two katanas

Not like they can sue you people anyway, they wouldn't get any money cause anime fans are notoriously poor (anime being more expensive than heroin and just as addicting).
Well, they didn't have any qualms about trying to sue my friend for 98.7 billion dollars a couple months back. For running a search engine, no less.
The question I have is how much did they accutally get in the end. Not even microsoft had 98.7 billion, and they have a program like that on their newest operating systems. (a p2p anyway). I sort of have a feeling your over exagerating to make a point, but I am only checking because well all know how mentally insane the RIAA is!
