I had a funny experience with my plumber.

I was working on the edit of Super Vid and I had Krilin the Villin on speakerphone and the plumber is here fixing the sink.

The computer is in the living room and I'm sitting at the desk working on a video. The plumber comes in and says, "hey is that an amv?"

I said "yeah."

he said "oh wow that's so cool. Do you make them?"

I said yeah.

He said what name do you go by?

I said J.Alana. He said No way, then Krilin chimes on and says "Hey what about me!!!"

I said, Oh yeah that's krillin the villin.

The plumber says. "No way!!!!!" Then he says "Can you sign this bill and maybe I'll keep a copy for myself."

It was wierd.

The way i watch my amvs.

I always watched amvs with food, like some chicken wings, hot pockets, honey covered chicken. Katsu Chicken, and i go to suncoast usually since they use to sell those fruit drinks from japan, or normally in a nutshell I eat japanese food even when i watch and edit amvs. But all I want is to find some Saki

Best way to watch an AMV?

Throw a party at your house.
Make sure everyone gets good and drunk
Then throw this AMV on, fullscreen, volume up.

Laugh at how funny the AMV is, as they desperately try to comprehend what the hell is going on through their hazy, drunken stupor.

Good point. An AMV Party is cool to have. There should be more of them.

LOL

I had a bunch of pals over and we had some beers, some laughs, some amvs and laughed for hours it was great.

All though I will admit to having friends at the house and making an AMV WHILE I WAS DRUNK.

The closest thing I've had to an amv party was siting in a room with 5 guys, playing tekken for hours and abusing a freinds cable conection, two days ago. I love geeks :D

I'm not so sure that playing one AMV counts as an AMV party. To rephrase, I happened to have a party and everyone but me was drunk, and so I decided to confuse them a bit. Just toy with them a little. I also put the Lain DVD in and more hilarity ensued.

Wow, pimpage! I will not be responsible for therapy bills from this behavior though!

Seriously, I've had LAN parties turn into AMV shocases though. Sometimes I'll put together a coupld DVD's of videos and let them play, so that the people that I destroy early on have something to do while they wait for the next round.
Then when you're done you take the disk to the local electronics store and stick it in their display DVD player, so that everyone that walks into the store gets to see it. Mellower stuff seems to work for that, like Wasteland, and AR2.
Build a man a fire, and he will be warm for a night. Set a man on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life.
