I.... really dislike Eva.. heh :P
And yet, some of my fave vids are from Eva.

What can I say, Eva has eye candy.

I believe it was Nic's Project Super Rad but I could be mistaken. I was all over AX and jumped in and about the AMV room.

My first was Aluminum Studios' "Sailor Kombat" and while it is no longer my favorite it is one of them. Damn cool vid.

The Pain of Ryoko's Heart. Great video
Same here. At the time I thought it some sort of anomaly. "Hmm, someone took anime footage and set it to music. How quaint. Nice video, though." I then typed "anime," "music" and "video" into a Google search, and... =)

Anyways, it's kinda funny that the first AMV I saw was when I was randomnly browsing network neighborhood, found something called Beastie Boys - Girls.avi and out of morbid curiosity opened it *shudder*

as I recall, it was a Vision of Escaflowne video done to Bush's Chemicals Between us.
It was probably the video that made me want to do one for myself.
As I look back on it, it still remains as one of my fave's
