But then there's awesomecore, for which the rule is "Make it cause you wanna be a D-bag"ZephyrStar wrote:#1 Don't be a D-bag.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Fix'd, this is more how the .org operates.Eva-Fan wrote:1.Rant on random popular ppl's videos on announcement forums with no regards to what you actually think
2.Disagree with them on everything in all other topics as well
3.Receive badge of so called honor, people then respect you for some reason
4.???
5.Profit
Or you could just be true to yourself, in most cases that is in fact honor.

Ya, guess it works in reverse sometimes too but thats more of a gamble. In most cases that outcasts you.
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

Re: Code of Honor for AMV maker
Those who know me, and alot who have met me, know I have a high code of honor when it comes to AMVs.
1. I will not use downloaded footage from a commerically released anime, nor tolerate those who do this. (Is it so hard to atleast rent the anime from Netflix, etc... Leaving the DIVX logo on the video, can tempt me to boo the video rather publically.)
2. I will not use music that I don't own/paid for in some way. Itunes are acceptable as you pay for them.
3. I will not send a video to a small convention/contests that I'm not attending, without first checking/getting permission from the contest coordinator.
4. I will make all attempts to submit videos to smaller contests first, then big contests. If a video wins at a big contest, I will avoid sending it to a smaller contest. (Because it's just not fair, and simply trolling).
5. No matter how awsome my video is, I WILL NOT troll my video.
6. I will not bully my way into an AMV contest. (Sadly I still remember a contest where I watched two creators do this, and it disgusts me to this day).
7. Defend Yaoi AMV creators and their right to make Yaoi AMVs. Support Yaoi AMV creators whenever possiable.

Re: Code of Honor for AMV maker
i have never really thought about this :/...maybe a little...like 'never steal AMVs from others'AikiNick102 wrote: Always make AMVs for art or enjoyment;
Never steal another's AMVs or ideas;
Be thankful;
Never be aggressive/hostile;
Always be objective;
Always be polite;
Answer every single question you are given;
Be opened for criticism and advices;
Never be conceited, selfish and megalomaniac;
Help everyone with anything you can, never refuse anyone to help;
Never envy another's skills and creativity(I mean bad kind of envy);
Never get angry for unfair criticism;
Rely on your skills, not on your software;
And most important - enjoy making AMVs.

If you suck as an editor, do the rules still apply?
"Not everyone can become a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere."
