Not necessarily the artists. Just the label.

That's not hard, either. They're not forcing you to buy their merchandise, right? So don't buy from them. Buy from other labels.
And why exactly?? We all know that what we do is not technically sanctioned by anyone so if a label asks to have videos that are associated with their artists removed does it really mean we must boycott them.... So are we saying they are wrong and should meet our demands

So if Bandai finally says they don't want their anime on this site, we band them too?? Where does it stop.

fine, a label does not want their songs here... we comply, end of story.. so far that all... the org and life goes on...

You seem to want the whole pizza instead of a slice. As long as you can make AMVs at the end of the day, what are you bitching about? That's what matters. Not some damn upload cap.

That's not the same thing nor the same reason for not buying

I dont like what they are doing so I dont want to buy their products..

how is it not the same..

I do appreciate that they havent tried to sue anyone, and I appreciate Phade's efforts to subdue the damage,

but the evil spiral of winding doom is just going in my head right now.. and I dont like the looks of it..
As I said before none of my videos were affected but it still saddens me to see this go... not unexpected but not wanted eithe.

The doom of the Org? Maybe. The doom of AMVs? Umm, no.

i am still resisting publicly humuliating you...

doom for the .org, a place where I can meet people, help other members, have other members help me, and get construstive feedback no matter how much I dont want to hear it. I like AMVs, but I like having a place to share them too... thats why I think its an awesome place...

heaven forbid we go to p2p companies to transferr them, plus for some of my videos handeling a 10-40 download per week, might be a little rough on my AIM especially when I have to share my computer with other members. o.0 THATS why I like the .org

Why should I settle for a slice when there is no reason for me to do so?

Why do you find it so difficult to understand that the way things are aren't the way they have to be?

There are anime communities out there that acknowledge AMVs. Don't make it seem like the org is the only place.

Well trythil, you're right. You don't have to settle for this. All you have to do to make the bad people go away is get the licenses. Until then, yeah. You do have to settle for the slice of pizza.

As I have stated again and again, I'm not saying they're outside of their rights to do what they do. With a boycott, I state that I think there's other ways to handle these sorts of situations, and that I disapprove of their chosen method. Licensing, for instance, is an alternative that does not require removal of any material.

(Incidentally, to Phade: I would like to know the reasons cited by Wind-Up's lawyers as to why such a system is outside the scope of this site. If you can't provide those reasons, that's fine.)

That's all. It's a rather civil response, I think.
So if Bandai finally says they don't want their anime on this site, we band them too?? Where does it stop.
Well, I'd stop buying Bandai's material, yes, and I would advocate that others do the same. (Yes, I do realize that is a significant chunk of anime; at that point, I'd probably be better off no longer making AMVs, and working on creating my own material. Anyway, that's a tangent.) You don't have to, obviously, so I don't see where this "we" comes into play.

That is one method. Another method is to use work from artists who don't mind this sort of infringement, under labels who understand that enforcing copyright doesn't have to always be done in this manner.
