First of all the word AN is reserved for nouns that begin with vowels. just a friendly english lesson, I hope that doesn't sound too harsh, I don't know you at all...so I don't want to be mean about it.

Secondly, I am not asking what is the the difficultly with the footage, what I'm asking is what is the anime you have had the most difficult in making it the best it can be. for instance...when I was working on one of my Trigun project I was trying to use a scene where a guy playing a guitar mimics the sounds of the music, but it was driving my nuts that he was not hiting the notes properly...now obviously most people aren't going to notice that, but it bothered me...another problem I had was trying to find good enough footage of all the characters I wanted. a lot of time they were talking, or the scene didn't have enough drama or characterisation to merit using that footage, but I still wanted to use the character...

another good example would be When I made my first video, in the last third there are no lyrics for one to follow and lyrics are a newbie's bread and butter, so I ended up with a full minute of long cuts and pretty much random footage. Evangelion offers so much, and as a new creator I didn't recognize all its possibilities...

Also, when trying to make a video using lain I feel short as well. I don't feel that lain is very conducive to the typical AMV, because the character design and animation are so utilitarian.

Obviously there are ways to make incredible videos with Trigun and Lain, it's just that I'm not the kind of person who makes them...

ANyway, I was going to go get some food...I hope that clears up the question...

Dude.. have you ever heard of screen capturing that scene so that the quality is still the same and it doesen't show him talking..? Don't blame it on the anime. Find another way around it. Also, it can be your theme gettin' in the way.

Why would you even TRY :P

Serial Experiments: Lain is certainly high on the list. So many stills and endless boring footage...
It's a challenge.
It's Definitely been done.

I was going to put a link here, but I cannot find the one I was thinking of...
You mean this one?

And just for the record, you use "a" instead of "an" for certain words that begin with "U."

DBZ, because unless your doing some parody of DBZ videos, there's barly anything that anyones done with it thats been good, outside of a few videos. And trying to get people to actually watch them is a chalange in itself, not without good reason though.
This has no relevence to the discussion above it

Berserk for me, without a doubt. Nothing like trying to make an AMV with a glorified slide-show :?

ANYTHING made by Gainax, with the (possible, since I've not got it or tried using it) exception of the remastered Eva. I have yet to see a Gainax show that wasn't complete shit for encoding and transfer and didn't take longer to clean up the footage than it did to do the actual editing. Which really sucks because they've made some awesome stuff. It's also occasionally annoying to edit with if you're submitting to a con with stricter content (read: fanservice) rules, since they love fanservice. :P

But content-wise, I'd have to say Princess Nine. I had planned to make an action/drama P9 video for Pro last year, but found that there just wasn't enough footage of them actually playing baseball for what I had in mind.... :?

Heh. Thanks, Uncle Vlad- I'll get right on that. ;p (though sadly, for the next video I intend to do I may have to be breaking out the Wacom a few times.... -_-;;; )

Spirited Away is generally only good for sentimental stuff... I have seen one or two exceptions however.
