Abyss: Some of us happen to appreciate video quality. As much as some commercial DVDs suck, they're almost invariably better than any of the crap you can download. There are good technical reasons for this, and if you look around here you'll find them.

Anyway, there are two issues here in my mind. First, quality. If someone wants to watch one of my videos, I want them to watch a decent quality one - not the Crap-O-Matic (R)(TM)(Patents Pending) version some damn Flash video site will produce. Second is the issue of giving credit where credit is due. This is why plagiarism is an issue, but I find what we do quite acceptable.

If you don't want anyone else taking credit for your video, just do what I'm doing. Make it completely obvious that it's your video by making the credit on a part of the video that cannot be clipped by the average boobtubber. I've got a little secret part intergrated in the video that is actually a part of the video, so if you screw with it, you screw up most of the video.

My feeling then is, if someone want's to show off my video, then by all means go ahead... Just make sure they don't try to take credit for it.

I honestly don't see what the big deal is.
