Depends on both the entourage (kids/hubby/friends/dog) and the video. I try to keep it tamest during daylight hours when the kiddies are awake and looking over my shoulder.

I put my favorites onto DVD and watch them on the big screen, but I usually just sit here in the office watching them with the speakers up and on an old craptacular monitor. No Doritos though. :'(

However, cold Mountain Dew enhances the viewing experience.

most headphones suck for me because they do not fit correctly so I don't even bother. Besides I have surround on my computer and it is more than competent for a dorm room.

My comp is a 21 inch 1600x1200 resolution and as long as the vid quality is non complete ass then I use it at full screen. Unless its a really really old video and the resolution is understandable, I don't even bother with low resolution vids.

And my desk needs to be cleared off every so often because the empty food containers stack up. I am notorious for eating at my comp. Doesn't matter what I am doing.

Haha.

Actually, when I had my iPod (until I lost it  ), I used to avoid watching AMVs in public. Perhaps to avoid the weird looks and potential questions.

In my room though, I intentionally play AMVs whenever my brother and/or his girlfriend pass by (they're the most common visitors here) - the weirder, the better :P
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

6 speakers and a subwoofer. Loud. There's an antinode at the back of my room, so bass responses there are at their optimum level.

I need a bigger screen though to watch things from that far back

Food is distracting.

Dip's pretty good, but nothing beats the Dewelopers/nachos combo 8-)
DRENCH IT IN RANCH.

I like watching vids on a nice sound system. I mean, people go through all that trouble to rip lossless audio, right? :)

I watch amvs on my moniter but i usually dont watch them full screen unless i'm showing them to someone as i figure the best quality of the visuals will be at their default size (although that's definitly arguable). For sound i have a pair of pretty headphones that cover my ears and can be set to filter a number of ourside sounds. This way i can get the full impact of sound from my comp (for gaming, anime or amvs) and i can spare my apartment mates the agony of listening in on every amv i play, as some of the song choices are rather "unique" to say the least.

Oh yea, and eating happens whenever i have food on hand, only time i dont eat in front of the comp is when gaming, but anime, movies, amvs, they all have digestibles in front of them when possible.

I use headphones almost always, and when I watch new ones I usually have it fullscreen, sometimes I just have them on a little side window while I do other stuff though.
