Obviously some of us don't deserve credit. I say just steal the videos, and not care about the will of the creator[/list]

I must say, watching videos on an Ipod really does give the video a certain atmosphere (this is my experience) - watching the video on such a small screen with headphones or small speakers is kinda fun and the quality (if encoded from a good source and then transferred and converted correctly) is just amazing for a product originally designed for portable audio.
I don't own an ipod either, the reason being i don't like the incompatibility with most video codecs and i must say Itunes annoys me quite a lot. But my major beef is the headphones... argh they're just crap. So whenever i plan to watch an episode of family guy on my best mate's pod i take my headphones with me. Now i must say i've never watched an AMV on an Ipod but i can imagine it being just as good as any other video. So i tell you what i'm very tempted to get the ball rolling and send you some AMVs. Do you accept video game footage Videos also?
So, i won't send you an uncompressed video but i might send you a high-quality compression video around the filesize of 120-180mb and i'll talk to the studio and ask if they want the MEP on this website. I don't really want WMVAMVs spreading further so this is my reason for sending you my work. And maybe you should make that a pre-requisite so as the site does not fill up with more noob vids. They have YouTube and they have the org - they have enough.
So once i get all my homework out of the way this weekend i met get round to it. I think you've got a potentially good idea here but you're going to need a lot of videos until your website is taken seriously. Do you have enough bandwidth to cover such numbers? - Thank you anyway, my videos aren't really popular here anyway so i dunno maybe they'll get more attention on another site, worth a try anyway. *smiles*

Yeah I accept any type of footage. I perfer DVD ripped footage but I will accepts anything. It's true that I perfer divx or other wise encoded avi's over wmvs but i take all file types too. Due to wmvs lack of video quality i encode them at a lower bitrate than other stuff i do. The average amv will be 14mb to 20MB depending on length. OH and to clarify on the bandwidth for the site i currently have 2TB per month bandwith that i can expand at any time. i also can expand the storage i have on the server at any time too. I have a good hosting company. I know this will be the next question so i will answer it b4 it is asked. No I will not ever have banners, popups, popunder, ect. on the site the site will be suported by amazon.com links to variour anime related and music related items.

I don't hate the iPod, I'm just stating that it doesn't have much processing power. If you want to encode H.264 for it, it needs to be baseline profile at lv 1.3 max, which means basically disabling all the features that make H.264 good.ssj2_goha wrote:I must ask one question to those that hate the iPod: "Have you ever used an iPod?" I ask the same question of those that say "Macs suck".sasuke2468 wrote:Zero1 wrote:iPod sucks as a video device, it just doesn't have the power.
ipod sux in general .... but if it supports vids for the psp as well i think its a great idea since few ppl kno of the existance of psp video 9 and actualy pay for a program to convert the videos
Try something b4 you form an opinion on it.

The PSP obviously has more power, and can handle (or so Sony say) main profile @ lv 3, which is pretty damn good, or would be if Sony didn't have retarded restrictions on framerates, resolutions and stuff.
iPod supports at least MP3 and AAC, and I was even considering one, and yes, I was thinking it's overpriced... But if you want video playback on your MP3 player...
