I hate to have to disagree somewhat here... Otakon has a small room full of anime fans choose the videos, so does that really mean the videos are better?? (This has sort of been my issue with Otakon somewhat)... So your back to a "top Ten" list as picked by fans

The only real way to "somewhat" have the better chocies is to have a panel of balanced jusdges who have some everprience in AMVs (or know what to look for) pick them.. Maybe not the perfect system, b ut much more accurate I find in the end. Several contests do di it this way...

I didnt like this video at all

and even pointless Effects vids i tend to dig

this video was just so MEH

the audio qaulity was terrible, the effects had no subtlety whatsoever. It gave me a damn headache. Even most of the scenes didnt match up

Just add some flashy Circles, bars and flying squares to your vids and youll be the King in no time
