I would highly doubt that very many people actually have the ability to distinguish an "edited" clip from one that isn't. In fact most times people have the opposite problem, they think something is an edit, when really it was just an effect done in the original anime. And BTW, call me Hatter...or Onideus...whichever you like. `, )Pyle wrote:Ya know, Wheeee, there is a difference between using the clips and using the edits...
I wanna whine about people using my video for clips (too)!

Any song that has the same time signature and tempo SHOULD work, unless it has a crazy syncopated drumbeat, or something.
But back on topic.
That's pretty wrong.

I remember when NPC3000 took his Nugget video, sped it up, and put it to some Linkin Park song, and sped that up too.....
It was funny cause it worked o.O

i rember a really good video i liked, it was gundam wing dual with a techno remix of dual of fates, everything matched and it was so perfect, then somehow i cam across a video with korn for music and i started watching it and the front looked just like dual of fates, then i stoped it, deleted it, and haven't seen the last half (i don't think i need to).

i found the person who ripped me off somewhat by accident... i was watching an ep of a show *not saying which* and i heard a song, and i was wondering if anyone did a vid to the song since i last heard it... so i founf one, and downloaded it... while watching i was thinking "that looks REALLY familliar..." then i watched one of my vids, pleyed the 2 together, and was like "sweet! somone stold muh shit!" so i told them to give me credit...and they did..SnhKnives wrote:i agree, i woudnt ever know if someone stole my stuff cause i never download all these random videos. and i dont think i have enough friends on here that do either, does someone download these videos and inform you about it?Lone Wolf wrote:How do you people find these vids out of the massive load of crap newbies put out every day? I tend to download AMVs based on a series. Either I just got done watching a series or if I'm interested in watching a series. Then I just do a search and then download any that either have a lot of opinions, are from people I know of, or ones that just sound kinda interesting (song combos and so forth).

You know, what if you take footage from a video like this?
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=43862.
No effects, no speed ups, and no transitions. Just good old blends. I say it would be like taking clips from the net, or taking footage from a fansub. If you copy the blend parts, or copied the same way it was done by just taking all the footage and the exact way it was put together, then that's when the prob comes in.
If someones taking footage from your amv, but only the parts that have no special affects, speed adjustments, or transitions, then you shouldn't get pissed.
And if you still think its wrong to take any sort of footage from an AMV, then fansubs shouldn't be an exception.
