Some1 give me an awesome rap song, and I'll make a vid that has you saying 'WHOA! I DIDN'T THINK TOXIC SHADE COULD MAKE THAT!'

I think one reasons why rap/hip hop/R&B isnt used much is due to the content of the music. I mean most rap features songs about bitches, whores, ass, drugs, bling bling, law suits, pimps and alcohol. Now some of that is good but almost every song is like that. I had a similar debate the other night with some people on this same subject. One person who was pro rap agreed with me in saying that almost all hits in rap deal with the aforementioned items. Some find it appealing. Others dont.

I also fell that some rap music would be pretty hard to time right. So many beats so fast isnt for the novice in my opinion. I've seen some decent rape amv's over the years which I've seen on sites and here at the .org. Just look for some rap songs with the super search function and you might find more than you thought there would be.

I do agree with most of what freeze-lord says. Generally, I'm not into rap, but there are some songs that I like. For me, I think it depends mostly on the lyrics, and how "constant" the beat is. If it jumps all over the place like in most of Eminem's stuff, then I don't like it. In the same vein, if all they talk about is bitches and hos, it takes away from it.

Some of DMX's stuff is REALLY good.
