Does Anyone Really Care About The Star System?

i give around 3-5.. but.. my sis logs into my account too..(she doesn't know the password.. she's like.."You! Login for me!" ) I'm being used..

yea.. i'm tired of giving star ratings to the videos my sis d/l's (sailormoon.. etc..) and even worse is that they've all been..very.. annoying..

yea, i keep telling her to get her own account... that lazy bum..

i'd suggest not mentioning you're letting someone else use ur account, heh heh

reviewability is more of an important factor in my star scale rating. 5= it sticks in my head all day for a few weeks. 4= i'll watch it pretty often for a while. 3= not memorable, but a decent attempt. 2= vapid, 1= i could barely/couldn't finish it.

i use the star ratings to see if people besides myself and a friend or two liked the videos i made. anything above a 3 is a liked video to me since it is average. it's not too bad and might not be too good but somebody watched it and didn't hurl. it's nice to know that someone else got a little entertainment out of what i did. if it's under a 3 it means i probably should have worked a little bit harder on it and look back on it to see what mistakes i did. this requires time though cause my first anime using video started off really sucky but now it's not doing bad at all. in fact it has a higher star rating than the 2 most current amvs i made but it should cause the first one i put more time and planing into. as far as me giving out star ratings i have a decent bell curve with my distribution. i give out mostly 3 and 4s. those are for the videos i think are either average, a little above average, or for videos that have good planning but something like quality was off.

When people start scoring according to my taste, I'll put weight into the star system.

Currently the difference bewteen my best and worst video is .22. I can only look at that and laugh.
