yeah, just like you, I didn't see it till last year. But apparently, its been on the org since 2006. Its kinda funny how certain videos can have popularity spikes years after their original premiere.Knowname wrote:I saw it last year on youtube, am excited you could find it for me -_- it was REAL big on the tube at the time

Actually, it had a huge initial spike and was credited for selling out the series in the dealers rooms of cons for months after it premiered.kireblue wrote:yeah, just like you, I didn't see it till last year. ...............Are you serious? I had no idea it was so popular. I'm glad that I decided to add it to the list.BasharOfTheAges wrote:Actually, it had a huge initial spike and was credited for selling out the series in the dealers rooms of cons for months after it premiered.kireblue wrote:yeah, just like you, I didn't see it till last year. Re: Convention Favorites (Classic Crowd Pleasers)
Apparently ADV tried to "license the AMV to use as a trailer for the anime but couldn't get the song rights". That post was the first I'd heard of it, though it wouldn't be surprising given the reported sellout effect.BasharOfTheAges wrote:Actually, it had a huge initial spike and was credited for selling out the series in the dealers rooms of cons for months after it premiered.

Damn. That's amazing. Its too bad that ADV was the only company that ever made serious attempts to be involved with AMVs. I already knew of the Noir DVD AMVs, but not about this one.dokidoki wrote:Apparently ADV tried to "license the AMV to use as a trailer for the anime but couldn't get the song rights".
