yeah, just like you, I didn't see it till last year. But apparently, its been on the org since 2006. Its kinda funny how certain videos can have popularity spikes years after their original premiere.

Actually, it had a huge initial spike and was credited for selling out the series in the dealers rooms of cons for months after it premiered.

Apparently ADV tried to "license the AMV to use as a trailer for the anime but couldn't get the song rights". That post was the first I'd heard of it, though it wouldn't be surprising given the reported sellout effect.

Damn. That's amazing. Its too bad that ADV was the only company that ever made serious attempts to be involved with AMVs. I already knew of the Noir DVD AMVs, but not about this one.
