AMV News portal hosts a little FMV contest, which is called Anti AMV 2008. The main idea of contest was to show skills of AMV-makers in editing of non-anime content. Anime content was forbidden. =) We received 40 videos from which jury chose 12 finalist. Here they are:

Site CreaSpace hold Vidding contest CreaCon 2008. Contest takes place from 1 September to 20 December. We accept any amateur clip which wasn't shown to public before 1st of September. The only prohibit sources are anime and japan videogames (For AMVs we have AkrossCon). There are no special restrictions on theme of clip. You only need to upload your video from 1st December to 20th December through On-Line form. The site is in Russian, but has some critical pages in English.

3) Upload Video

Detailed rules (English)

Note 1: Don’t upload your contest video before 1 December! You can upload your old videos to our database, if you want to get some criticism from audience and to check upload process.

Note 2: I’ll give additional announce when we start to accept videos.
