Why so much spaceage hatter? And this topic seems to be a drooling rant that is merely the critics vs the defenders of those who've been critiqued. It has no real point and the disputes cannot really be settled because they're all of opinionated nature. Some people like some things, other's don't. Get over it.
The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

LOL, see you're taking it serious, didn't I just say not to do that? Have fun with it, grow some thicker skin, vent a lil, and heck I bet ya feel better. ^_^And this topic seems to be a drooling rant that is merely the critics vs the defenders of those who've been critiqued. Why? Does someone have a gun to your head forcing you to read things that you find offensive...or maybe...just maybe...you WANT to be offended. Think about it. And don't bother responding to this or even bothering to follow this thread anymore, because if you do, you'll only be proving what an idiot you are...don't be an idiot.bloodyfang wrote:why wouldn't you let this thread rest?
*shrugs*next he will be bringing back the kevin caldwell thread
I've seen one video from Kevin, I thought it was done very well, Id've given it a 9.5 overall if it didn't already have a ton of people scoring it.

OK, the way I see it is you can't please everyone all the time. In other words, there are always going to be your elitest assholes and your green newbies. I'm not naming any names when I say this, because honestly, these labels come and go as you get to know people. I used to think ErMaC was an asshole just as many people did. After actually reading a lot of his posts, I realized he was, as he said in Machine's AX documentary, misunderstood.
I got a chance to meet a lot of creators at AWA this past year, and I'd have to say that I was suprised at the behavior of many of the creators. I didn't come expecting them to be rude, but I didn't expect them to be that nice! I'm naturally shy, though, so I didn't interact with as many people as I could have. Next year, I'll be sure to remedy that
I've lost me train of thought, since i had to go to the bathroom
Basically, I guess I want to say that there's always going to be people who think they're better than others, and people who are accepting of everyone. I try to be as nice and accepting as I can be, but I can't do it all the time. I'm sure ErMaC feels this way too. There's also going to be people who misunderstand peoples intentions. This thread is a perfect example.
This place would be a lot nicer and easy going if everyone took their ego down a few notches. One of the AMV makers I respect the most is MexicanJunior. Besides being a fellow RVP member, he has little to no ego when it comes to AMV making. Take Service With a Smile for example. Many people love this video, it's won several awards, yet he still thinks it's not that good. He's humble! Also, AbsoluteDestiny was the only person to make an acceptance speech at AWA this year, and it basically consisted of him thanking everyone else for helping him and enjoying his videos. We need more of that. This is a community, damn it, not an East/West Coast rivalry! GROUP HUG!!!

You have NO idea, bro.ROTFL...man, you peeps just don't know. From what I've seen of Tommy so far on this board, he's a lightweight compared to the people I usually choose to spar with. Of course he might just be going easy on all of you. You should all probably grow a lil thicker skin and lighten up a lil.
