I case clarification is needed...

They aren't fansubs, they are from the DVDs. I used Handbrake to rip them to FFMpeg on my other rig a long time ago (for a very outdated project), then I opened them each (recently) in Quicktime Pro and converted them to DivX, which FCP seemed to handle quite nicely.

I did it simply because I didn't want to edit straight from .VOB, rather use the chapters individually.

Layering is required for alot of masking and effects and stuff, When I edit I use layers sometimes when not needed just to keep kinda organized
ok i will try it in my next vid and i think it gona help me find my scenes easily

I'm running out of here

you have no idea how tortures to edit with dixv
i have seen all kind of problems it was like a fuckin rainbow
lags red black hangups crashes but after a wile i found out
that i should not edit with divx and i can't convert it to lossless
or such because the bandwidth i have :cry:
