Anywho, yes we are geeky no way of avoiding that.
I disagree. We're whatever the hell we wanna be.
And that should be AMV Editors, right?

Anyway, interesting. I think it depicted amv editors as "neglected" from society, maybe, which isn't quite true, but as most of the editors of this forum actually are in their room in front of their PC most of the time in a day, we can't actually say it's incorrect. :?

good read and it got my brain going about other topics raised in the article, outside of the main issue being debated, but posting that here would probably cause a bunch of off topicness, so i wont go there

So my parents lied to me when they said I'd never be a beautiful pony princess?

Then, in 1982, a 21-year-old college student named Jim Kaposztas hooked up two VCRs to each other and married violent scenes from the anime "Star Blazers" to "All You Need Is Love" by The Beatles to humorous effect. With that, the anime music video was born.
I would like to see that, historic references are always important.

If you feel like one, I can't prove you don't.

See this is where you are wrong, no individual determines what is cool and what is geeky, the society as a whole does. Much like all other taboos.

and As of this post general society sees mixing Japanese cartoons with music as geeky.

Hmm, and this is where I would say that what society thinks is often based on individuals's beliefs.

Yes individuals, but a select few individuals with hegemonic control over society.
Not you or I, and as of now Oil barrens and WTO leaders do not make AMVs.

I see your point, but leaders can emerge from the people. It's your choice to try to become one or not, but anybody can. And the beliefs come before the power.
