Or say.. Theorheticaly (butchered that word) Using Clips from oh I don't know.. A certain half hour animated show ranging anywhere for 2 - 3000 Episodes long?..
Well, the advetising company would have obvious differential entitlements to their usage of naruto footage..

like imo, i wouldnt mind if someone asked me before hand, before ripping the clips but anyway this isnt me, its sierra lorna

God damnit, how dare someone steal all the hard work we stole from the anime creators! Off with his head*!

* Considering this is the middle east, that isn't exactly an idle threat either.

Who gives a shit -_-.
stealing clips from an amv is the same as stealing hubcaps from a car ...
I laughed my ass off at that quote.

Well, the thing that sucks about this is none of us can do anything about it. If this is broadcasted on live television as another official commercial then apparently they got the "ok" from the people who made Naruto... Unless the people who made Naruto doesn't know about the amvs they ripped. I guess even professional editors are n00bs.

Thats a bunch of bullshit, the guy obviously had access to the footage but instead of editing the footage for use specifically they decide to rip off AMVs. I guess thats pretty cool that they liked your videos so much that they rip you off but still thats pretty fucked up.

The scale of editors goes like this:

These people care about:

1. People who make their own footage (animate) and then edit it.
2. People who record their own footage (by camera) and then edit it.

These people don't give a damn about:

3. People who use already existing footage (AMV-ers) and then edit it.
4. People who use already edited footage and still edit. :o

You can't really complain, even though he got money without any effort. Your videos aren't even "legal" so to say and you hide behind the word "hobby" in order to justify it. So, if things are like that and you knew that you won't be able to legally protect your work if it comes to this you just need to let things like this go and don't waste time and energy.
