I'm proud of my first video. It's graphically iffy at best and the pacing was a bit slow, My wife, friends and I liked it though. (<----- Pssst. That's all that should really matter to you.)

My first video sucked in all the technical aspects, but I still think the idea was good. Actually, some thime ago, I was thinking of remaking the video, but I gave up.

And I don't regret putting it up on the org. As a matter of fact, I'm really glad I did; that way I got lots of good advices and suggestions on how to improve.

for all those people complaining that they had subs in their first amv that is one technical issue the org allows you to fix... so you can go back and crop and filter some of those uglies out and re-upload it to the org... you just cant change any of the editing/scene selection or else you have to make a new profile...

ps. my first video was just an attempt to prove I could make a video... I only made one clip before it, but considering the music that first clip contains is not distributable from here, and the show is not anime ...

My first AMV was Pure suck.

It still had the original audio of the Clips, It did not have any attempts to synch and it was made out of horrible quality dgz/dbgt clips I randomly found on the net.

It is funny though that I started to edit without any Editing program. I used to have Windows 98 and I didn't know of any editing software, so i asked a friend if he had one. he said he has Windows Movie Maker, but it doesnt work with Windows 98, so all I did was adding the Video clips to a Playlist on media player and let the Music play on Winamp at the same time  thats how i decided in which order I wanted the clips in the Video.

After I did that, I named the Clips and sorted them the way they should appear in the AMV. I burned them on a CD, gave them to that friend who added them together XD

and NO..Those AMV's are nowhere online to be found, I still have them all burned on CD's though xD

if by Harry Potter you actually mean Rainbow Brite, then yea.

my first Harry Potter video was in summer of 2005 more than a year after I made my first video

I liked my first video, which is uploaded here. I actually did read the guides and bought DVDs and compressed my audio. The flaws would be its mediocre image quality (it's rough trying to use the guides as a Mac user without AviSynth) and it was encoded as a MOV (DivX was giving me hell and I was too tired from figuring everything else out to bother).

I wonder if that means it's a good idea to start with a MEP, where the clip is shorter and the concept easier to figure out.
