Something I always thought strange is that people would call their unfinished stuff "beta tests" ...I always heard that in the software/gaming industry before seeing it used here. I guess I just called my unfinished video stuff test renders or "gaygaygay03.avi"

Oddly enough, that's almost exactly what everyone else calls your finished stuff.

In the early days we just called unfinished stuff previews, and the people who watched them, previewers. Much the same with fanfiction and prereaders. Now everything is beta.

Can we get "beta?" I have an idea of what it means, but I'm not completely sure :? And I don't want to like...mess up with using it or something :shock:

beta is commonly used for an unfinished video that you want to show people...

Anyway - I'm not sure if it's much about AMVs,but I don't quite get one more term here in the forums :

R1,R2,etc. - DVDs.

Does it means 'Region' or 'Release'? Or maybe even something else?

it means region
R1 is USA (and some other areas)
R2 is Japan (and some other areas)
