i'd say the missus has a tendancy to draw me away from editing. video games on occasion will do that too. But mostly, it's watching anime, CSI, or movies from netflix when I get home from work that usually keeps me from working on videos. 10 hour days leave you with little time to do anything usefull, like sleep, unless you don't sleep...

I edited more when I worked 100 hours a week. :\ (note, I f'ed around with footage from amvs, I couldn't help it since that was the only footage I had, had no dvd software, access to fansubs, since I was stuck in the middle of the ocean on a ship.)

Cosplay/crafting. I'm determined to throw at least two hours a weeknight into it for the rest of the month, which wipes out all the free time I have those days. However, I can rip/prep footage while doing that sort of thing, so that's convenient right now.

And my sorry excuse for a social life. I sweartogod I don't go out that often, and never do anything when I do leave the house, but my time just gets sucked down a void of Genshiken-esque not-much-of-anything. I used to edit mostly on Friday night and Saturday morning, is the problem. Not that I'm generally complaining.

The silly thing is that Boy and I talk about making AMVs, separately and collaboratively, and are constantly saying "You know what would be cool?..." but never actually get any work done.

he's a better editor but my computer setup is better than his mwahahahaha!

Schoolwork, workwork, and my over-stretching other hobbies. As I mentioned in various threads before, AMV is only maybe 3rd on my hobby priority list, even on good days. I spend exponentially more time playing my die-hard simulation/strategy games, reading about history etc., and indulging in actively listening to artsy music than I do anything related to AMVs.

Bewbs? Eh, I don't know about that, but were it a matter of choice, mayhaps I'd trade AMVs for a girlfriend
