I start out with an idea (from the bum on the street corner of course, 4 for a dollar as always.)
rip DVD's, bait and switch, generally just follow the guides for the technical stuff.
edit.
upload at least 7-8 months after I started. (Hopefully I will change this with my next video.)

From all the ideas that bum sells, you would think he could live a nicer lifestyle. He certainly makes enough from us...pen-pen2002 wrote:I start out with an idea (from the bum on the street corner of course, 4 for a dollar as always.)
Then it rip, make scripts, use makeAVIs, and let them sit for some time because class and work prevents me from having spare time.

I just started making a new video now so I can tell what I am doing now. The first thing was listen to a song. From there I get either A. a vison of an anime that could match up to a particular part in a song or B. ask someone what anime would seem like it would fit in there. Usually I hack up the song a little bit because my songs tend to be longer than anyone would sit through. (Even though this time I hacked the song first because I liked the instrumental parts then found an anime by suggestion.) I play the song a lot and try to think of scenes that would fit. Usually I just keep the ideas in my head but if it is really good or the scene would match up at a crucial moment I will write it down. After that I rip, convert to avi cause some editing god doesn't want premiere to import avs stuff for some reason, and edit a long the way. After a certain time I will go back and look at what I have but I don't show many if any people so it's either it's okay or it sucks. When all editing is done I export it like they show in the guides blah blah blah and put it up.

1. Suck.
2. Suck...in public.
Actually it's come up with random thought while listening to song, make notes every now and then about the odd little pictures in my head. Continue for a while. Like, years, in some cases.
Decide to start. Rip source, lose interest, rotate between "edit all weekend" and "completely lose interest" for a few months, burn onto CD and delete all source, rerip source and start again, decide that I really should have worked with another series instead, limp along this way for a few months... finish, release badly encoded version to the org, get full night's sleep and realize stupidity, re-encode, upload to own space, try to forget it all happened and swear I'll not do something so stupid again.
Repeat, of course.

1. Watch an anime.
2. Hear a song and get an idea from it.
3. Get footage and audio.
4. Edit accordingly with the idea.
5. Get about 1/5 of the way done, and don't touch it for weeks.
6. If I get past step 5, just go and finish it off non stop when I don't have anything else to do and my comp is working still.
I'm currently in step 5 with my current project....
