What's wrong with the opinion system is that people get back bad scores because they gave bad scores... it's one thing if they bashed you for it but if they left a honest non-bashing opinion... -_-

But going back to the topic at hand for a moment. If your new like myself for example you can't get opinions because they are a traded commodity and I can't download other people's AMVs at the moment because I'm poor and can't make a donation. But aside from that I recieved an unsolicitated opinion that was harsh for my first video, (I did before I knew places like this existed and started to get help on how to improve.) and it was harsh. ...

I didn't bash the guy though, I simply explained how the problems he found came about, learned a little from the experience and my 3rd AMV should hopefully be beter. If you as a person can't handle critisism then why are you posting your work on a public forum that has an open ended rating/opinion system?

I admit I was sad to see my rating start in the tank but it's worked it's way back up a little and because of opinions like that and the one I recieved on my 2nd AMV I've really improved, or at least so I'm told by those who has seen the finished rough...

Though if you do leave a bad opinion please refrain from swearing it deafens any of the points you were trying to make.

You can download videos off the local server after two weeks. And you can download from direct and indirect links as soon as you register.

It is sad that there are so many juvenile people that can't take criticism yet feel perfectly comfortable dishing it out. But if you truly want to better yourself, then you can ignore these people and the bad opinions they give and just pay attention to the helpful people. If you really are improving, then more and more people will give you better ratings on your opinions and your scores should rise naturally as a result. Well, provided you keep making videos, that is.

Uchiha Tanoshi, if you're new here, you usually have to wait 2 weeks before you can really download the Local animemusicvideos, that or a quick donation through via pay-pal and you can start asap, etc.

but just wait till like the 24th of this month, given that you started as a member on the 14th, on the 24th, i would assume the two-week wait period would have ended, thus allowing you to be able to download the animemusicvideos on this site; although I do think you could download now, just not the Local ones, given that they are part of this site as submitted ones; meaning, you might be able to download the Direct amvs and the Indirect ones till the 24th ^_^.

And since you just got started, and bashin of your amvs will indefinitely occur, you just gota take in these hard times, because they just make you stronger, you learn from them and become better, so cheer up man, this site is here to help you ^_^
My strength is not that of the mountains, nor is as vast as the plains, nor does each wave crash upon the shore and thunder like lightning into my viens...but that which i can muster, and that which i will, i will bring myself foward into this world like no man has done before...

In Uchiha Tanoshi's defense, I saw the bashing opinion on his video (before he mentioned it in this topic), and the guy who left the op was, in fact, a total douche about it. He was basically pissed that somebody else took the same song/anime combination before he did (and considering the anime was Naruto, the guy shouldn't have had a lot to be pissed about).

The moral of the story is that there are going to be jackasses no matter what kind of reviewing system we use here, and you're best off just ignoring them.

And I don't say that just because all my average receives are purple. >_>
