now im curious i would like to know what does being part of a studio mean, does it mean that every video you make has to go under the studio name? or does it mean that if you request help for making a certain video you are working on there will be a users there to help you out?

The first part really depends on the 'Studio rules'. I don't think any studio can hold you hostage, but you may risk being dropped if you wish to go against the established agreements.

In regards to getting advice help...well, thats what the guides and the 'Suggestions' forum are for. Physical help may be another story but again...you're in the right place to ask.

It depends on the studio, but it's pretty safe to say that fellow studio members will be more willing to help you out than random people you don't know.

It's not uncommon (from what I've seen) for studio members not even to know each other IRL, though obviously if you do, that makes quite a few things easier. ;)

It was very boring being in a studio with 6-8 (I wasn't sure back then and I'm still not sure) that you didn't know...Now, I'm in a studio where I know all the members. One of them for a very long time and the other for a few years.

My advice to you all: Get a life, get some friends!

Just cause your in a studio with people you don't know IRL doesn't mean you don't have a life. Most of the people on the org who are serious about amv's do have seperate lives. Very active seperate lives in fact. Most of us are attending school, have g/f's (or are searching), and have jobs, as well as other hobbies like sports, etc. But yes, you were right about one thing, its no fun being in a studio with people you don't know. If you don't know someone very well, then its weird when you try to send betas, etc. You don't get the real criticism you need.

You're like the creepy guy of the neighborhood, you know, the guy who'd wear a raincoat in the summertime, handing out candy to kids to get them to swim in your pool.
