As for the general topic, I do agree that 80% of the banners are...quite frankly, crap. They either are poorly made (typos everywhere), have nothing to do with the site (random pretty anime girl with the logo) or are corny.

At the same time, the current submission guidelines allow for such things and just like the VCAs, opinions, star-ratings, etc...you have your say. You can vote "worthy" and "unworthy" on each of them if you want. In fact, I do it a lot more often now since I *hate* seeing bad banners.

So instead of complaining, why don't you guys just vote as well? It doesn't take long to check the "unworthy" box 9 times out of 10.

Also if it *really* bugs you that much, why not make a site suggestion to remove all "non-related" banners? I'm sure it'd be fairly low on the "to do" list, but I imagine Phade doesn't like a number of banners too *shrug*.
