No.. see.. Evanescence is similar to Nightwish, not vice versa.Kalium wrote:The group "Nightwish" is supposed to be very similar to Evanescence. Personally, I don't know (read: I've never actually listened to their stuff).

I need to start reading entire threads before replying, or there needs to be an edit button.. anyway...
I wish LC would have released something a bit more catchy.
Except, they're not too good, and in fact, while the 'Heaven's a Lie' video is pretty looking, the actual song is terrible. The video is pretty much a repetitive wash. Yech.Kai Stromler wrote:It's good to see success happen to a band that's actually got some talent and paid some dues.

They're decent live (playing more old stuff); I strongly suspect that the reason "Heaven's A Lie" is getting the airplay it does is because:
1) Cristina is hot.
2) It sounds like Evanescence, only not as bad.
I don't have Comalies, so I'm not able to comment on how representative of the CD the single is, but it stands to reason that CM didn't pick it for radio by accident (it's not even listed as an album highlight on CM's press-pack page). Given their past efforts in supporting and promoting bands, perhaps Iced Earth's defection has forced them to actually work at selling records for once.

Shin Hatsubai is a Premiere-free studio. Insomni-Ack is habitually worthless.

She is hot, and the song is very radio friendly. Actually, a lot of the stuff I've heard from LC could probably be played on American Radio, and it's very possible that due to Evanescence's "Female rock Breakthrough" that LC becomes a big Americanised hit by the corprate whores pimping them out as 'the next Evanescence.' ... or some such tripe.
and for the record: Evanescence is a great band.

LC is pretty good, though Heaven's a Lie got a little old for me. But that happens with a lot of their music if you listen to it much. I don't normally get tired of metal, but I got tired of them. I do still like it though.

Anyway, this has gotten off topic. Give some more recommendations.
