Seems kinda odd to me. Usually the coordinator just asks the AMV creator to submit the video, since it is a contest and not just a showcase.
However, I personally feel doing that is wrong and unfair to the people who put their hard work into creating videos for her contest. If you only get 10 submissions, then play those.
So, this actually could be a good point to start the discussion as to what a contest coordinator should do if he or she doesn't get enough submission for an AMV contest?
Anmd that the same point I made in their forums.. to me it's not about stealing property (we don't own it), but more about the point of what a Contest is. the whole point is to have "people" submit thier entires to compeat. And yes, what you say about fairness is exaclty right. How fair is it to those that enter the contest to suddenly suppliment it with what ever is out there? that's not the point of a contest, nor is it what it is defined to be. that is my problem with the whole approach they used.
I say if you get less entires, then play then and run your contest from those.. You can always then suppliment the block you have for it with a "Showcase" of AMVs rather then supplimenting the actual contest itself!
