I recommend some of you read this so your posts will be more clear next time, seriously some of you, I just couldn't follow them at all: http://www.cla.wayne.edu/polisci/kdk/ge ... insser.htm
It is especially helpful for essays and proving a point.
Don't write to sound/look intelligent, just write or in this case type...

Anyway, art does not effect the way I edit. The type of anime, song, and theme I'm going for does. If your talking FX wise for art, then I just go with things that enhance the video, so I don't know about that one.

I don't know what you mean by beliefs for art. Art is anything if you look at it creatively or abstractly. Maybe that's my belief? I guess.

Maybe if you clarified what "Beliefs about art" is then this could dwell deeper.

Like the emotions and meanings of colors to you maybe? Is that an example of what you mean?
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

I can't clarify deeply personal understandings I don't hold, but others do.

And certainly if you feel colors mean something, and you choose those colors for your video, then yes, that would be an example of the application I am asking about.

There's something ironic that an article arguing KISS is TL;DR.

Actually it's not an article, it's an excerpt from a guide book he wrote. Maybe it is TL;DR but it could of been done on purpose to help prove the point? Plus, alot of it was examples to prove his point. I just found it's contents interesting and applied it to my essays for school. I didn’t know there was a general term or acronym (KISS) for this type of writing either.

Back on topic:

Colors do effect my emotions. Dark and bold colors seem to bring me down and bright colors do the opposite. Dramatic and Horror themes for AMV's could benefit from dark colors from my perspective. Dance and energetically themes for AMV's will have more of an impact with brighter colors. It would take too long to describe emotions for colors and other possible meanings, but I think the first 2 points most people can agree on.

Colors effect everything. I remember reading an article online about how stores dim their lights to a certain frequency to make you walk slower through them.

On the offhand chance you didn't look it up, it's Keep It Simple Stupid. Good advice for anything from writing to programming to making plans to, arguably, editing AMVs. Most people intuitively know this too, except for art school twits sitting in a cafe with berets on and writing freehand verse on their macs.
