I wasn't all that impressed other then the animation. The tech and execution behind it is extremely simply, imo. I think I would have enjoyed it more if it wasn't in silhouette and the models were actually textured and modeled.

Ha ha, this is exactly what I said to mitch after I watched it.
"Way to cheap out on texturing and lighting!"

Also, I thought they went a little apeshit with the motion blur.

It was still really neat though.

I only wish people were not so obsessed with these lame touhou characters :\

I managed to find an "HD" (read: upscaled) version on the tube, used keepvid to grab it.

Install Python 2.6.x, grab nicovideo-dl and append a .py extension to it. Then from the command prompt:
nicovideo-dl.py -u [username] -p [password] -t [url]

Voila. That's probably the best you'll get (the file in question is a 16MB H.264+AAC MP4 file, and more than likely the original one to boot); most stuff on Nico Nico Douga isn't separately uploaded - or at least the links aren't there if they are.

Alternately you could grab it out of Firefox's temp cache (C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\[scrambled].default\Cache) and just rename it.
