This smacks of Objectivist aesthetics (sorry, Kalium and trythil, not to open THAT can of worms again....
)...
My major thought that I have the moment I even start trying to make a video is that I have absolutely no control over my viewers' perceptions; I only have control over my timeline and my own perception. My goal is to project a concept onto said timeline using the various tools and techniques I have familiarized myself with. Whether or not that concept works for anyone else is a pretty big crap shoot.
I've made one 'popular' video and a lot of not-so-much ones (not counting collaborations where my goals are a bit different). But every single video that I have bothered to upload to this site is exactly what I wanted it to be (barring maybe wanting to make minor tweaks now that I know what aspect ratios are). And if a video stops being what I want it to be, I stop working on it until I can figure out how to get it where I want, or I come up with another concept that intrigues me and forget all about that project.

At any rate, I pretty well agree with what the TC said. I think he(?) summed things up quite well.

Last I talked to Todd, I think we agreed that most of what we do basically boils down to "HAY GUYS FUCK YOU ALL". I think I'll stand by that.
No, I'm serious.

No, I'm serious.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
