But also x2. I guess it'd only be expected given I'm still the main audience for most of my stuff.

Funny, actually thought about the first question myself a little while ago...

1) I have way too many editors I like for different reasons.
If I had to limit my choice to three "top" editors, well, it'd be Janzki, Tsunami Jones and jasper-isis. For one because there hasn't been a video from them in my memory that I didn't enjoy/appreciate/laugh at.
The former two just have great (artsy? weird?) ideas, and unlike some editors they always seem to hit the spot as far as execution on it too. The latter has a great editing approach, doesn't shy away from creative risks, and has awesome amounts of flow-by-the-way-of-subtlety in her videos.

Otherwise there's lots of people whose work I'll always follow. I'd say there's a good 3 dozen editors whose stuff I'm near-equally interested in for various reasons.

Seriously, you've got a pretty good attitude towards improving without going all Pokemon-like ("I'll be the best there ever was!") on it. In due time you'll be making kickass videos.

I haven't seen Shaister on for a while, but I really hope he shows up with more videos sometime. He's really got me excited with his last two videos. And Copycat Revolver definitely deserves a shout-out!

Not to make GfN sound like a noob, but especially after his latest release, I'm totally convinced we ain't seen half of what this guy can pull off if he keeps at it

My favourite editors are Bakadeshi and JCD. I really can't decide whose videos I like better. Bakadeshi's videos are just awesome, they need no describing. He's good at making all kinds of videos, which is something that I can't say for many editors. As for JCD, his eurobeat videos are unique and more than addicting. He is number one editor for dance videos and I can't wait to see what his next video will look like...

As for new editors, the only one that comes to my mind is aerialesque (I would hardly consider her new, but she does fall into that category of less-than-2-years-of-editing). Her videos are absolutely beautiful and with each video she releases she improves significantly. She's one of the best drama/romance editors here but I really hope to see her skills used for other genres, as well.

My favorite editor is Kickass331. I absolutely love his editing style in a whole. I can't really describe his editing style. Kickass331 = Free Pleasure.

Seriously, Requiett is my favorite Editor. It's experimental, it's groovy, it's FX, it's unique, it's good. I love his editing style :3

My favourite editors.. I don't know, really, because a lot of "good" editors may have one or two videos that I absolutely love but the rest are not to my liking.. But what comes to the style, Miss Sakura-san deffinitely has her own editing style conceptually and technically, and I'm always looking forward to CrackTheSky's videos, because his videos tend to be conceptually meaningful and thoughtful and therefore have an emotional effect on the audience, or at least me

Fluxmeister All of his videos kick ass. His style is just superiour.
Copycat_Revolver You know the music he uses? He seams to be the only one who uses it and this makes his videos really special.
Kenka_Wolf There is a good reason why she is in my studio She has really talent and always improves a lot with every amv. I love her stuff and I know her in rl.
Too bad she didn´t anounced her last one or any other amv here. Nice style.

I've never had a favorite editor. I have a favorite style of editing that I developed during my early days of watching them back in '96. An editor that I know still tends to edit with an old school style would be off the top of my head Jestmaster. While I do like fancy effects and videos that take months/years to make it's the simple effect of storytelling using simple editing techniques that really draws me to a video.

Promising editors? Not sure. I think CBR is full of them if they can get off their asses and make videos not using other AMVs as source ^^()

you know, the whole two year thing is really like, restricting to some people.

i mean, i'm not outright bragging; i know i have a lot to learn to get up to master level in editing skill, but I joined here years ago (under another user name in 2004ish).

However, since January 2007, i've been contracted to edit multiple videos, and i've only started using AE since 2007; both of these situations combined have caused me to spend probably upwards of 300+ hours editing minimum (probably way more) since then, and my skill in AE's went up wayyy exponentionally;

if you look at the skill/overall look of my last AMV (the prince of tennis one done in 2006), and then look at the stuff i'll be putting out in a month or two here, it's like i'm not even the same person at all.

So just mentioning that the two year restriction may be kind of limiting in regards to other people (seriously not meaning to say that i'm an "amazing" editor or that i'm "promising" here, just using my own case as an example of speedy improvement after years of stagnation), per my example, which i'm sure there's other editors who have kind of dead-locked at a certain skill level, and then suddenly boost forward in months.

.. Editor -or- Visionary ..

.. the whole concept of AMV's are Skill Levels at Encoding the Improbable Case Scenarios we refer to as Animation. This might be a little silly but my favorite Animations to watch had nothing to do with its Culture.

"RidingHoods Anonymous" .. just when the story could not become anymore pathetic, the Team from ( "The Rocky & Bullwinkle Show" ) "Fractured FairyTales" add a twist to the old Fable. Ridinghood selling PTA Tickets, Grandma selling DAR Tickets, a Wolf trying to "kick" the Ridinghood habbit and Ridinghood having pre-loaded ( exploding ) "Wolf Baskets" in case the Wolf desides to "deliver her basket for her" -- the Show was more Live-Radio related than Animation related, but you get the idea. ( Silliness )
