AMVs = Crap? (Reallly pissed here)

i have a friend who hates anime (she says the gigantic eyes scare her) i convinced her to watch Howls Moving Castle and its now one of her favorite animated movies (note ghibli girls dont have ginormous eyes like air/kanon girls)

either way she will still watch my amvs, but i dont think she would appreciate it if i sent her other amvs.... shes not in the fandom, she wouldnt get most of teh funneh.

though I dont think he shoulda chewed you out for linking an amv or two (if your amvs were on topic - he coulda been more polite about it) at the same time he has every right to hate amvs...

AMVs=Crap? There were several thousand people in Baltimore last month that would disagree. And I mean just counting the AMV contest attendees!

This is the USA. Everyone is entitled to their own stupid opinion.

Sadly you are correct. I have been wandering the Top 10% a lot lately, but, key detail they are after all just the top 10%

The bottom 90% gets dreadful rapidly as you approach the bottom 10% I'm sure hehe

And I DO rate some AMVs with a 1 when I would have preferred a -5

The more I think about what's going on in this thread the more I become convinced that non-amv people don't hate AMVs because of youtube, naruto vids, or whatever. They hate AMVs because AMVers are the biggest whiny fanboy pricks since the whole trekkie vs trekker argument was raging.

not to mention he has as much right to say he hates amv than we do to say we like them. (or some, at least)

Ehh... whatever, so he dosn't like AMVs that's his choice. Yeah he was kind of being a flamer, but whatever. There's nothing wrong with not liking AMVs, nothing wrong with not liking anime and nothing wrong with liking one but not the other.

Everyone has their own tastes, so why worry about other people and just enjoy what you like.
